    Rising country and soul-influenced artist Ty Myers is set to perform at the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater in Tuscaloosa on September 10, 2026, as part of his “Legal Tour,” with special guests Brent Cobb and Benny G. The concert supports his newly released sophomore album Heavy on the Soul, following his 2025 debut and rapid rise to popularity fueled in part by social media.
    Myers, still a teenager, has quickly gained attention for blending country sounds with soulful lyrics and has become one of the genre’s emerging young stars. Tickets for the Tuscaloosa performance go on sale in early April, with the evening show beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the downtown venue.

  • Prentice Concert Chorale’s Greatest Hits of the 1960s

  • 17th Annual Druid City Arts Fest

  • World Ballet Company’s Swan Lake

  • Sourdough Bread Making Class

    The City of Tuscaloosa will host its first combined farmers market and Strawberry Festival on Tuesday, April 21 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Tuscaloosa River Market. The event will feature strawberries from three Chilton County farms along with participation from 30 regular market vendors. Attendees can enjoy live music, kids’ face painting, a petting zoo, and other activities. The Tuscaloosa Farmers Market offers fresh local produce, meats, artisan goods, and is free and open to the public. It is held year-round on Saturdays and accepts SNAP, Double Up Food Bucks, and the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program, and has been named Alabama’s best farmers market for four consecutive years.

  • The Sound of Music – Youth Edition

    The Sound of Music, the final collaboration between Rodgers and Hammerstein, became one of the most beloved musicals in the world and will be presented at the Bama Theatre. Based on the memoir of Maria Augusta Trapp, the story follows a joyful young woman who brings music and warmth to the von Trapp family. Performances are scheduled for Apr 24 at 7:00 PM, Apr 25 at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM, and Apr 26 at 2:00 PM. Winning five Academy Awards including Best Picture, the film adaptation remains one of the most popular movie musicals ever made.

  • Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra: RISE

    The Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra will conclude its 2025–2026 season with RISE on April 27 at Moody Concert Hall, featuring an evening centered on reflection and renewal. The concert coincides with the 15th anniversary of the April 27, 2011 tornadoes, honoring themes of resilience, remembrance, and hope. The program includes Verdi’s Overture to Nabucco, A Time for Jubilee commemorating the Selma March, and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5. The performance will feature collaborations with choirs from Stillman College, Tuskegee University, and Alabama State University, along with soprano Laquita Mitchell. A pre-concert event will also include a special intimate performance by Mitchell during the Cheers & Chat celebration.
