Crimson Couch to 5K

The 16th annual Crimson Couch to 5K run/walk event will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 9:00 AM, starting and finishing at the Walk of Champions in front of Bryant-Denny Stadium. Participants of all ages, including faculty, staff, families, students, and community members, are invited to run or walk a scenic 3.1-mile route through campus. The event promotes physical activity and wellness while offering a fun way to engage with the university community. A portion of the race proceeds will benefit the Joe Espy SGA Scholarship to support students facing financial hardship. Participants can also earn WellBAMA Rewards points for joining the event.

Grammy-winning contemporary Christian artist Lauren Daigle will perform at the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater in Tuscaloosa on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 7:30 PM as part of her summer tour. The Louisiana native is one of the most decorated artists in Christian music, earning multiple Grammy Awards along with numerous Billboard Music, American Music, and Dove Awards. Known for powerful vocals and crossover hits such as “You Say,” “Rescue,” and “Thank God I Do,” Daigle has built a global audience with more than a billion streams and sold-out tours around the world. She has also performed on major stages including the Super Bowl, where she sang “America the Beautiful.” Tickets for the Tuscaloosa show go on sale March 13 through the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater and ticketing partners.

Love Our Lakes Day

Volunteers with access to their own boat are encouraged to bring them to assist in cleaning the lake.
Free BookStock Celebration for Families

This free, family-friendly gathering offers free books for all ages along with information about local literacy programs. Attendees can enjoy activities like a scavenger hunt, book binding with the UA Book Arts program, crafts with Druid City Makerspace, bookmark making, and Little Library painting. A special Wild Symphony character parade starts at 12:30 p.m. encouraging kids in kindergarten through sixth grade to dress up and join in. Children with standout costumes will have a chance to win one of three gift cards. Participants can also pick up a free lunch ticket for Heat Pizza Bar when they check in.

18th Annual Empty Bowls

Local restaurants, church members, and volunteers will provide a variety of soups, including vegan and vegetarian options, with music performed by Jil Chambliss and Dan Vogt of the Vulcan Eejits. Organizers hope the event raises awareness of hunger in the community while helping provide months of food assistance for families, seniors, and veterans in need.
