The Literacy Council of West Alabama will host its annual BookStock event in Tuscaloosa on Saturday, March 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Government Plaza. This free, family-friendly gathering offers free books for all ages along with information about local literacy programs. Attendees can enjoy activities like a scavenger hunt, book binding with the UA Book Arts program, crafts with Druid City Makerspace, bookmark making, and Little Library painting. A special Wild Symphony character parade starts at 12:30 p.m. encouraging kids in kindergarten through sixth grade to dress up and join in. Children with standout costumes will have a chance to win one of three gift cards. Participants can also pick up a free lunch ticket for Heat Pizza Bar when they check in.
