Krispy Kreme Challenge

The Tuscaloosa Krispy Kreme Challenge is a family-friendly charity event held to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Alabama and help provide mentoring opportunities for children in the community. Participants gather at Government Plaza to complete a two-mile run with a unique twist: runners travel one mile, eat a dozen doughnuts, and run one mile back to the finish line, though participation is flexible and focused on fun. The event welcomes people of all ages and abilities, emphasizing community involvement rather than competition. Proceeds help match local youth with mentors who provide guidance, support, and positive experiences. First launched in 2013, the challenge has become an annual Tuscaloosa tradition combining fitness, entertainment, and philanthropy.
