The City of Tuscaloosa has announced a special free patriotic concert featuring the 151st Army Band on June 30, 2026, at Government Plaza as part of the nationwide celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. The 90-minute performance will offer military and patriotic music for the community and serves as a special addition to the city’s summer entertainment calendar. The concert comes alongside updates to Tuscaloosa’s popular Live at the Plaza series, which continues to bring free live music to Government Plaza on Friday evenings throughout May and June. City leaders say the events are designed to create opportunities for residents and visitors to gather, celebrate, and enjoy live entertainment in a family-friendly atmosphere. Admission to both the Army Band concert and Live at the Plaza events is free and open to the public.
