The Sound of Music – Youth Edition

The Sound of Music, the final collaboration between Rodgers and Hammerstein, became one of the most beloved musicals in the world and will be presented at the Bama Theatre. It features iconic songs like “Do-Re-Mi,” “My Favorite Things,” and “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” and earned five Tony Awards and five Oscars. Based on the memoir of Maria Augusta Trapp, the story follows a joyful young woman who brings music and warmth to the von Trapp family. Performances are scheduled for Apr 24 at 7:00 PM, Apr 25 at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM, and Apr 26 at 2:00 PM. Winning five Academy Awards including Best Picture, the film adaptation remains one of the most popular movie musicals ever made.
